Choosing Wisely

Choosing Wisely Canada is a campaign to encourage health care providers and patients to have conversations about unnecessary tests, procedures or treatments. It is part of a global movement addressing over-utilization in health care – specifically, over-utilization not associated with positive changes in health outcomes and sometimes associated with harm to patients. Since its launch in April 2014, lists of recommendations from several Canadian medical societies have been developed.
